Well...There is good news and there is bad news. THE BAD NEWS: Tomorrow we will say "
Bon Voyage" to Spring Break and return to work. THE GOOD NEWS: We are less than 2 months away from summer vacation! WOO-
HOO!!!!

This Spring Break was fairly mellow. Ryan had some assignments for school he had to take care of, so we spent the majority of our time off hanging out at home. On Friday, however we managed to head to downtown Indianapolis...

Going downtown made me excited for the next couple of months!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Indy- especially when the weather is decent. I am most excited to go to a baseball game again~

Because of the "Final Four" Basketball tournament being hosted at Lucas Oil Stadium, downtown traffic and parking was CRAZY!!! We ended up parking on the
IUPUI Campus and taking the river walk to the zoo.

Who will win tomorrow night??? Duke or Indy's own Butler??? You know who we'll be routing for ;)

A shot of Lucas Oil Stadium across the river...

This was our first visit to the Indianapolis Zoo. It was cute, but I can't lie, the San Diego Zoo puts it to shame!!!

We saw seals...

Sharks (that Ryan is petting in this pic)...

Although we did not need them on this BEAUTIFUL 80 degree day, I had to share this with all of you in California, because it is something you will NEVER see- Coat racks for all the zoo-goers to use when they check out indoor exhibits...

Tortoises...

Deer...

A train ride (
awwwwww)....

Giraffes...

This strange breed of cow-
hmmmmm....

Tigers...

Bears...

After the zoo, we walked next door to the White River Gardens to check out the butterflies...

The gardens were beautiful and there were a variety of butterflies flying all around...
In addition to indoor gardens, there were also some pretty outdoor gardens...
When we were ready to leave, we took the river walk back to our car...

There was a limestone wall along parts of the trail. I snapped this shot because I thought it was an interesting fact...
Ryan works about 5 minutes from where this pic was taken...cool huh?
Most of the trees have not sprouted leaves yet, but flowering trees are "out and about!"

On Easter morning, we went to church with our friends. Afterward, we all parted ways so they could spend the rest of the day with their families. Ryan and I went out to a nice lunch and then came home and took the pups on a walk around the neighborhood...
Couldn't have asked for better weather! Thank you God for blessing us with this WONDERFUL day!!!

The duration of my Sunday was spent doing laundry....
ughhhh and working on this BLOG post. Ryan worked on his Master's Thesis, which is due on Thursday. He only has one more class to go and then he will be all done- YAY!!!

We hope all of our friends and family had a wonderful Easter. We love and miss all of you so much! Have a fantastic week!!!
Until next time...xo
