Okay, so today it was actually 83 degrees!!! AWESOME! We took full advantage. Ryan and I took the dogs to the park, then I walked and he played Frisbee golf. It was sooooooo nice to be outdoors again!

Ryan loungin'....

Please do NOT be blinded by the "whiteness." Sadly this is what 5 months of gloom does to me!!!

Happy Sam :) I LOVE this pic!

Frodolicious :)

Ahhhhhhh Spring has arrived....woop-woop!

Last week I had the opportunity to meet Michelle Rhee. You may have seen her in the film Waiting for Superman or interviewed on Oprah Winfrey. She is the former Chancellor of D.C. public schools. My friend Casey and I attended a Students First breakfast that Ryan was invited to. He didn't want to go, so we crashed the party...

She is a hard-core reformer. She went into D.C. schools and fired a ton of ineffective teachers and administrators. She shook a lot of things up. I really do not want want to get into politics, but I admire that she advocates to get rid of the "last hired, first fired" rule that teachers currently have to follow. I personally think that ineffective teachers (regardless of tenure) should be the ones cut when budgets need to be trimmed.

This weekend, I went out with Tiffany and her friend Carrie for a little "Girls Night Out."

It was fun. We went to BW3's and then ran across State Road 37 to Britton Tavern- a local bar in Noblesville. There was a live band playing...

Never a dull moment...

Here is a photo of some flowers my mom sent me when she found out I got into my administrator's program...

Speaking of mom...Mama flew out here last week during Spring Break and even though it was only for 2 1/2 days, it was TOTALLY worth it!!! I love my mom sooooooo much and love spending time with her!

While mom was out, we decided to do some painting. We have been debating what colors to paint our kitchen and living room for a few months. We finally took the PLUNGE!!! Here is Ryan stirring it up....

Mom hard at work...

Everything was going well until I ACCIDENTALLY stepped in the paint!!! Thank goodness we had plastic laid down. I STILL have gold paint on my little toe!!! LOL

Ta-Dah!!! Final product...

I REALLY like the gold. I think it gives our home some "spice." It was too conservative before. I like the foreign feel it gives. I also feel like it makes the other colors "pop!"

After we painted, I had to go to Bed Bath and Beyond and buy all new rugs. I felt that a bold red rug with gold flowers was the best choice. What do you think???

Living room...

Feels much warmer now and not so "sterile."

A few days ago, we experienced the most AMAZING sunset. Here is Ryan...

The sunsets are so spectatcular here because there is nothing on the horizon. They look like they go on forever and ever! Lovely Lovely...

Until next time...xo
